In last week’s episode, Dean learned that Castiel (Misha Collins) was tracking down Cain (Timothy Omundson), the demon character that was introduced in the season 9, episode “First Born.” Well, Cass finds him, and in “The Executioner’s Song” there will be a faceoff between the former and current owner of the Mark of Cain.
Cain was retired the last time Dean saw him, but seems the circumstances have changed. The Father of Murder has been very, very busy in the meantime. The demon had set aside his murderous ways following the death of his wife, Colette, but that apparently is no longer the case.
Seems the Father of Murder has been living up to his title, resulting in dozens of deaths already and, according to the promo, he is very happy to get the First Blade back.
All indications are that the fight between Dean and Cain will be the highlight of the episode. According to Omundson, “I’ve heard the story line and it’s pretty wicked. It’s going to get pretty intense.”
Will Dean finally get rid of the Mark of Cain? Tune in to “The Executioner’s Song” on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 9/8c on the CW Network.
THE RETURN OF CAIN — Dean (Jensen Ackles), Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Castiel (Misha Collins) deal with Cain’s (guest star Timothy Omundson) return. Crowley (Mark Sheppard) and Rowena (guest star Ruth Connell) continue to grow closer but when Crowley bails on plans with his mother to help the Winchesters, Rowena lets him have it.
